Living sent

So we did it.  We sent it in.  The full application for adopting a 4 year old Ugandan girl.  How many of these applications have I crumpled up in the last 4 or 5 years in tears and frustation?  Oh my - the check boxes of what you are willing to take into your home - does that make me less of a woman if _____?  Or do I have bigger balls if I take in _______?  Lord what is YOUR will for us?

All of the questions like that seemed to have completely disappeared with this app.  There was......peace.  There was......joy.   This time is......different.   This time, I am trusting the Lord, and we as a family are taking steps out in faith that don't necesscarily answer all of those questions with logic from our own selves. 

I will share with you what I am trusting him with:

• that she would be availble still while our app and homestudy gets processed in the next 3-4 weeks
• that she would be kept safe and healthy while we wait through the process
• that our hearts would be prepared for all of the change that comes with bringing her home
• that our travel would be shortened as much as possible - minimum of 3-5 weeks!!  YIKES.
• that the travel would be BEFORE our church plant launches in August - June or July
• that my health would remain in good conditions, and no new stones would form ;)

I am excited to see what the Lord does through this entire process, and share His faithfulness and love so that it might spill out onto you!
